All Body Acne treatments at Agápē Aesthetics and Wellness are performed by a Licensed Aesthetician trained in advanced clinical body protocols. Treatments are administered in accordance with established aesthetic best practices and under the medical direction of our supervising provider when required. Every protocol is customized to your skin's sensitivity and the severity of the congestion to ensure optimal safety.
[H] Who Is Not a Candidate? (Contraindications)
Active Accutane® Use: Must be off isotretinoin for at least 6 months before undergoing professional extractions or peels.
Active Sunburn: We cannot treat skin that has recently experienced excessive sun exposure or is currently peeling from a burn.
Open Wounds or Infections: Treatments must be delayed if there are active skin infections or open lesions in the target area.
Fungal Acne (Malassezia Folliculitis): If your breakouts are itchy and uniform, they may be fungal rather than bacterial, which requires a different clinical approach.
[H] Pre-Care & Post-Care Instructions
Pre-Care: Arrive with clean skin. Avoid exfoliating the treatment area with harsh scrubs for 48 hours prior.
Post-Care: Avoid tight-fitting or non-breathable clothing for 24 hours to allow the skin to breathe. Shower immediately after sweating using a gentle, non-comedogenic cleanser.
