All Teen Acne treatments at Agápē Aesthetics and Wellness are performed by a Licensed Aesthetician trained in adolescent skin health. For clients under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present for the initial consultation to discuss treatment goals and home-care compliance. We utilize medical-grade sanitation and gentle extraction techniques to ensure the safety and integrity of developing skin.
Who Is Not a Candidate? (Contraindications)
Active Accutane® Use: Teens currently taking isotretinoin or who have finished a course within the last 6 months should avoid professional extractions and peels.
Severely Inflamed or Infected Skin: If the acne is severely cystic or appears to have a secondary infection, a medical referral may be required before aesthetic treatments begin.
Sunburned or Irritated Skin: We cannot treat skin that has recently experienced excessive sun exposure or is currently experiencing an allergic reaction.
Pre-Care & Post-Care Instructions
Pre-Care: Arrive with a clean face. Teens should avoid any harsh over-the-counter "scrubs" for 48 hours prior, as these can increase sensitivity and redness.
Post-Care (24-48 Hours): Use a gentle, oil-free cleanser and a non-comedogenic moisturizer. Avoid touching or "picking" at the skin, which can lead to scarring.
Sun Protection: Daily SPF is mandatory, as many acne treatments make the skin more sensitive to the sun.
